If you have been in the videography, cinematography, or vlogging space over the last few years then you will have seen the steadily increasing popularity of using a gimbal stabilizaer amongst the amateur scene. This is due to more and more people wanting to become competative and help their video footage stand out amongst the crowd by adding some often much needed image stabilization.
In addition to this, in the vlogging scene especially, the Canon G7X has held its own as one of, if not the most popular entry level camera going so we have decided to publish this article going over what we feel is the best gimbal for Canon G7X cameras currently on the market right now. Thankfully, due to it being such a small and lightweight mirrorless camera, the G7X can easily be used on almost any gimbal on the market right now and you will get great results. That said though, some of the cheaper gimbals on the market right now can be a nightmare when it comes to battery life so we would always recommend that you try to pick up the Zhiyun Crane v2 gimbal. Now, we have a few reasons for recommending this particular gimbal and many other people also recommend the gimbal for use with the Canon G7X too. Its battery life is excellent offering you around Twelve hours of battery life per set of fully charged batteries. Keep in mind that if you use some of the third-party batteries they may underperform so always use the recommended Zhiyun batteries. The designed of the gimbal is also great with it based around the regular 3 axis gimbal design that is very popular and easy to use too. Its maximum upper payload is around Four pounds meaning that it can easily support the weight of the Canon G7X without issue.
The price tag of the Zhiyun Crane v2 is also very low in all fairness when compared to its competition and exactly what the gimbal is able to provide for you. The motors and gyroscope are slightly older compared to the latest gimbals on the market right now but in all fairness, as we mentioned earlier in the article, the weight of the Canon G7X is very light so the gimbal will not struggle with it at all.
Since its release on the market, the Zhiyun Crane v2 has also proven to be a hit with the community growing one of the largest user bases and best reputations going. Although Zhiyun have released more up to date versions of the Crane gimbal, the v2 is still the most popular and shows no signs of it losing its top spot either. The video below also offers an excellent, long, in depth review of the Zhiyun Crane v2 and gos into great detail of exactly what it is able to provide for you as well as share a number of different tips and tricks that you are able to use to your advantage to help improve your video image quality too.

I just wanted to publish a quick post about my blog and my plans for it over the coming months. I have been a fan of photography for some time now and have spent a fair bit of time on the various photography forums while also reading a number of photography blogs such as this one and this one. So, after toying with the idea for a few months I have decided to set up my own photography blog where I plan to share my thoughts and experiences as well as share any tips and tricks that I pick up while also posting some reviews too. I doubt many people will ever actually get to see my posts but it gives me something to do while also sharing my thoughts on photography and may help some people in the future who end up reading this. There are so many high end photography blogs out there these days that dominate the space and are full of excellent quality content. Although I am a big fan of these blogs and enjoy reading them, I also feel that many of them lack the personal touch that I hope to offer with this blog. Although there are some great photo album sites out there like Flikr where photographers are able to share their work with the world. I am also looking forward to posting my photographs on my blog as well as on social media sites such as Instagram too. I feel that although I am just an amateur photographer, my work is decent and some people may enjoy my photographs so I look forward to sharing them in future posts.
I am planning to pick up some new photography accessories over the coming weeks as I have a little spare cash so I will be posting reviews for them on this blog. I have been toying with the idea of also creating a YouTube channel to share my product reviews in video format too but I am not an experiences videographer so that may take a while to get going. Anyway, if you like the idea of some product reviews as well as tips and tricks for photographers then you should check back in a few days once I have had a chance to get some more posts online and get my blog kick started. As I am not a professional level photographer, most of my gear is entry level or more budget friendly and I have definitely noticed a lack of other people posting this type of review online so I hope to help some other photographers who do not have massive budgets for their equipment and are left looking for the best possible bargains. |
